Aamar Boss
Aamar Boss is a Bengali film that follows Animesh, a 40-something owner of a publishing house, struggling with his job and a turbulent relationship with his wife, Rumi. His mother, Subhra, a retired head nurse recuperating from bypass surgery, demands more of his time and begins visiting the office daily as a proofreader. Her presence fosters a sense of community among employees.
When Animesh rushes to Mumbai after his father-in-law’s death, Subhra introduces a daycare policy, allowing employees to bring their parents or in-laws to work. This initiative increases productivity but raises financial concerns for Animesh. After a confrontation, other companies step in to support the initiative, proving Subhra’s visionary leadership. Inspired by real corporate daycare programs, Aamar Boss celebrates inclusive work environments and transformative leadership.
