Aaron Craven (born July 25th, 1974) is a Canadian actor, director, writer and theatre producer. He has worked in film, television and theatre throughout Canada and the United States during his career.
Early life
Craven was born in North Vancouver, British Columbia.
Career
Craven is known for his recurring roles as an actor on the TV shows Family Law, iZombie,.[1] [2] Travelers,[3] The Bletchley Circle:San Francisco,[4] Somewhere Between,[5] Ties That Bind,[6] Gracepoint and The L Word. He has also guest-starred on series including NCIS, Legends of Tomorrow, Aftermath, Psych, Castle, Continuum, Supernatural and the franchise Stargate-SG1 and Stargate:Atlantis[7]. Feature film appearances include roles in Big Eyes (directed by Tim Burton), The Predator, The Age of Adaline, The Atticus Institute and The Day The Earth Stood Still. He was nominated for a Jessie Richardson Award for leading performance in the 2021 play Snowflake[8].
In 2012, Craven founded the theatre company Mitch and Murray Productions,[9] based in Vancouver. The company has produced plays from global playwrights including Will Arbery[10][11], Mike Bartlett[12][13], Duncan Macmillan[14], Annie Baker and David Mamet[15][16]. In 2023, the company staged the world premiere of Craven's play Instantaneous Blue[17], a semi-autobiographical play about his parents' experience with Alzheimer's Disease[18][19][20]. Craven and the company also host acting workshops for the autistic community called "Acting Atypical"[21]
He also works as an acting coach at The Working Actors Gym in Vancouver.
Personal life
Craven has been married to the actor Kate Craven since 2019[22]. They have one son together.
