Aaron Gabriel Golbin (born September 4, 2003) is an American entrepreneur and investor. Golbin is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of technology and media company The American Post, multinational technology companies DebateIsland.com and LostCry.com, and was the Strategy Lead at nonprofit organization POWAN Initiative. He also founded and served as the CEO of BestDealWins.com.[1]

Early life and education[edit]

Golbin was born in Brooklyn, New York and mainly grew up in Sheepshead Bay, New York. He attended P.S. 206 Joseph F. Lamb Elementary School from Kindergarten to grade 5, and then attended I.S. 234 Arthur W. Cunningham Middle School during grades 6 and 7.[2] Following his family's move to Long Island, New York, Golbin attended Merrick Avenue Middle School and high school, graduating in June, 2021.[3] Golbin currently attends The George Washington University, where he studies business, technology, and entrepreneurship, and resides in Washington, D.C.

Business Career[edit]

Early Business Career[edit]

In 2013, at the age of 8, Aaron Golbin founded Kings Corporation, a venture that provided indoor and outdoor entertainment to elementary school students during their lunch period.[4] As its CEO, Golbin expanded the venture to a 50-volunteer business used by a large number of children in his school.[5] In 2014, after the end of 5th grade, he began to learn numerous programming languages, primarily through free online websites, and continued to learn about business through courses and books.[6]

DebateIsland.com[edit]

On April 30, 2016, at the age of 12, Golbin founded DebateIsland.com,[3] a multinational technology company.[7] Aaron Golbin currently holds the position of CEO of DebateIsland.com.[6][8] In 2018, Golbin led the development and launch of DebateIsland Debra Artificial Intelligence[9] , a suite of artificial intelligence (AI) products. Debra AI, using a mix of proprietary and open source code, and API's,[5] provides informative insights on user-created debate arguments, predicts the winner/s of online debates, and can calculate arguments' and users' most likely political affiliation and supported presidential candidate/s on DebateIsland.[10][11] DebateIsland is widely considered to be the pioneer of Artificial Intelligence to online debating and the pioneer of casual online debating.[12][13] In 2020, DebateIsland launched a new segment, DebateIsland Education that won an EdTech Impact award.[14] DebateIsland is a private company.[15]

BestDealWins.com and LostCry.com[edit]

On January 12, 2017, Aaron Golbin founded BestDealWins.com,[5] an online platform. It enabled users to create "deal challenges" which would contain deals and YMMV[16] (Your Mileage May Vary) deals posted by competing users who aimed to have the best deal in order to win the challenge. Golbin served as its CEO until late 2020, when the venture was shut down.

On October 1, 2017, Golbin founded LostCry.com,[4] a technology company that allows for the sharing of ancestors’ stories of hardship from events such as the Holocaust,[17] Wars[18], Genocides[19], and Immigration[20]. Golbin dedicated the website to his great grandmother[21], Tsilya Gershman Zaslavsky , a holocaust survivor. Aaron Golbin currently holds the position of CEO at LostCry. Golbin's essay about Tsilya's Holocaust experience, The Story of My Great Grandmother, is now in the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum's collection, where it was first indexed in early 2019.[22]

The American Post[edit]

In 2021, Aaron Golbin founded The American Post, a media and technology startup. In September 2021, The American Post launched various commercial solutions and operates through 5 segments: public platform, enterprise, think tank, political ventures, and researcher.[23]

Investing Career[edit]

Aaron Golbin invests in companies primarily in technology. Having made his first investment in elementary school, he began to analyze stocks and create stock analysis presentations[24][25] in sixth grade.
