Aaron Lawlor (born July 12, 1984) is the Chairman of the Lake County, Illinois Board. Prior to being elected Chairman in 2012, he was a member of the board (since 2009) and was President of the Cook Memorial Public Library District board. Lawlor is a member of the Republican Party.[1]
Life and work[edit]
Lawlor was raised in Vernon Hills, Illinois and attended Libertyville High School. He was named an "Illinois Rising Star" by Chuck Todd of NBC in 2014.[2] He has gained notoriety for his governmental reform proposals and for recently coming out as gay.[3][4]
