Prior to joining NBC Owned Television Stations, Perry worked as weather programmer and engineer for the Vermont Institute of Applied Meteorology. Perry was employed as lead weather data analyst from 2014 to 2016 where he created and maintained numerical weather prediction data plots for Lyndon State College's Atmospheric Sciences Department. Perry served as a member of Lyndon State's Mount Everest weather forecast support team for an expedition by a New England-based climbing team[4]. NBCUniversal offered him his first job out of college and he has worked at NBC10 Boston (WBTS-TV) and NECN ever since.[1] Perry now develops and maintains NBCU's exclusive, in-house weather forecasting system known as the "NBCU Model." He also provides operational weather support to the First Alert Weather Team at WBTS-TV and necn.
