History
Abaseen International, a family-owned business house, was formed in 1976 as a sole proprietary concern, later converted into a Private Limited and registered with the Corporate Law Authority owing to a steady growth in business. Abaseen plays an important role in the fields of specialized equipment supply and providing total environment protection solutions. Abaseen International was founded by Mr. Malik M. Siddiq in June 1976 as a sole proprietary concern. The business initially focused on the Agricultural Sector of Pakistan, thus the name “Abaseen” meaning “Father of Rivers” came into being. The first business of Abaseen was the sale of 4000 agricultural sprayers to The Punjab Agricultural Department. Business carried on and so did diversification. Mr. Malik, being a visionary, moved into the Aviation Sector and Abaseen sold the first 10 Catering Trucks manufactured by M/s Trepel A.G., Germany, to Pakistan International Airlines. Since then Abaseen has been actively supplying Airport Ground Handling Equipment to Pakistan International Airlines and Shaheen Airport Services in Pakistan, offering a huge range of quality equipment for different areas in the Aircraft Ground Handling Division. Pakistan International Airlines, being the major customer, today operates a huge fleet of equipment supplied by Abaseen, especially Pallet Container Loaders, all of them supplied through us by our principals M/s Trepel Airport Equipment, GmbH, Germany. Today Abaseen has diversified its business into various sectors, including Pollution Control and Environment Conservation and even to Consumer Products. Having its presence in very competitive markets, Abaseen is well versed in keeping individual customers and corporate clients satisfied at all times. |
About The Founder
Mr. Malik M. Siddiq in 1948 started his business career at the age of 19 as a Cotton Merchant and soon he was at the top of the trading circle. Mr. Malik established a Cotton Ginning, Pressing and Surgical Wool Factory in 1953. He traveled extensively since 1949 and was the only delegate from Pakistan to attend the 50th Anniversary of Cotton Association held in Spain in 1950.
As he was always directed towards business development and diversification, in 1963 Mr. Malik established and owned an Integrated Sea Food Freezing Factory along with a fleet of Fishing Trawlers.
There was again an addition to his business line in 1970 and he started Aerial Spray of Crops continuing this business for 6 years. The Aerial Spray of crops was conducted by 03 Agricultural Aircrafts “Agtruck” purchased from Cessna, USA.
In 1976, Mr. Malik discontinued the Aerial Spray business after a change in the Government Policy and laid the foundation of Abaseen, and took over the charge as the Managing Director of Abaseen Int'l (Pvt.) Ltd. in 1980, with the ownership of the company resting in the hands of the family.
Mr. Malik passed away in 1997 leaving behind his forever presence in Abaseen Int'l (Pvt.) Ltd. today being managed competently by his successors. Abaseen International is itself a brand name of his legacy, whether it is a private limited company or was a sole trader company. It is a legacy maintained by him and after his descendants.
