Abdul Shahid is a British born Bangladeshi businessman and Property Developer. Abdul Shahid founded Docklands Estates Ltd, in October 2013, going on to develop other brands such as Dagenham Estates and Sudbury Estates. Abdul Shahid also has interests in E-commerce with sites like mylittlepeeps.com and pound-shop.co.uk.[1] In December 2021 Abdul Shahid won the British Property Awards Gold Award for Best Customer Service for Docklands Estates T/A Dagenham Estates[2]. An Estate Agency based in London's Financial District; Canary Wharf[citation needed]. The Agency acts more like an asset management company offering consultancy services for Property Investors and Developers. Docklands Estates has been involved in many large scale property developments throughout the capital.[citation needed] Abdul's early life began in Old Montague St, London E1, Born in a squat in one of Londons's bomb damaged buildings from the "Blitz", He was born to Hajji Mohammed Formuz Ali, who's service in the Merchant Navy during World War 2 led him to the shores of the United Kingdom, and Begum Tariza Bibi a seamstress who sewed garments at home for the factory owners around London's Brick Lane. Before he was a year old they moved to the Boundary Estate in Shoreditch, the first council estate in the UK, where they were housed legally. Abdul attended Virginia Primary School with his siblings, Jaida Begum, Jobeda Ali and Abdul Mannan. Jobeda Ali was one of the first Bengali girls from the inner city of London to attend Cambridge University [3]. Abdul then attended Homerton Secondary High School in Hackney for a year followed by Daneford S.B School in Bethanl Green, London where he sat his GCSE's. Abdul then attended Hackney Sixth Form in Cassland Rd where he sat A levels in Media Studies, Government and Politics and English Literature. He then attended Demontford University in Leicester where he read Psychology.

Abdul Shahid is also known for his philanthropic work, especially in Bangladesh, where many people live beneath the poverty line. Abdul is involved with homing street children and they are currently developing a 5 storey building in Sylhet to convert into a home for street children. He is also involved in many clean water and sanitation projects.[citation needed]
