Major Abdul Waheed Choudhury[1][2] (1913-1965 AD) Commissioned from the British Indian Army in 1941, Dehradun Military Academy, British India, a Second World War veteran, Bengali Muslim military officer from East Bengal, Habiganj Subdivision, Sylhet District, was born in Dariapur village. He was the son of Khan Saheb Abdur Rab Choudhury, a famous educator. He joined the Pakistan Army in 1947 and was consecutively posted in 1) Frontier Force Regiment, 2) Punjab Regiment, 3) East Bengal Regiment Training Company (holding positions of 2nd in Command, Officer Commanding, Adjutant, Commander Special School of Operations) in the Pakistan Army. His service time in the army was 1941-1948 AD. Later, he joined the Pakistan Police service as Additional Superintendent of Police and served there for 9 years.

A Second World War veteran, Bengali Muslim military officer from East Bengal, Habiganj District, was born in Dariapur village. He was the son of Khan Saheb Abdur Rab Choudhury, a famous educator. He joined the Pakistan Army in 1947 and was consecutively posted in 1) Frontier Force Regiment, 2) Punjab Regiment, 3) East Bengal Regiment Training Company (He was appointed and held the positions such as 2nd in Command or Officer Commanding, Adjutant, Commander Special School of Operations of the newly raised East Bengal Regiment training company) in the Pakistan Army. His service time in the army was 1941-1948 AD. Later, he joined the Pakistan Police service as Additional Superintendent of Police and served there for 9 years.
