Abeer Ibrahim Altaher (Arabic: عبير إبراهيم الطاهر) is a Jordanian children's story writer. She is the founder of the Jasmine Publishing and Distribution House since 2010, and a member of the Jordanian Writers Union.[1] Some of her books were adopted in school curricula in the Arab Gulf region. Her first writing was in 1999, presenting the "Jasmine" series on children's behaviour at home, the series was received from her experience with her daughter. and her second series for young people is called “Ahmed Al – Akkad”, which is an adventure that mixes fantasy with reality.

Awards[edit]

She received multiple awards. she was nominated in 2010 for “Etisalat" award for her story "on the roof”. In 2014, she won first place in the

“Etisalat” award for the book "A Very Naughty Cat", which was translated into several languages. In 2016, “a very naughty cat” book won the White Raven International catalogue, and the book "Princess Diana" was nominated for a 2017 “Etisalat” award.
