In the first qualifying round of the 2026-27 Welsh Cup they stunned third-tier Morriston Town AFC, who were four tiers above Abernant, to win 2-0 away from home. This meant they advanced to the second qualifying round where they lost to third-tier Tredegar Town AFC.
