The Abhayudaan Foundation (NGO) is a non-profit organisation registered in India under Section 8 of the Companies Act 2013.[1]
History
Some people have a wealthy lifestyle. They not only have what they need, but they also have what they want and desire: a lavish lifestyle that provides them with added comfort. On the other hand, some people cannot afford even the most basic necessities of life. They don’t have a place to call home, food to eat, or clothing to wear. People with additional money live a comfortable and opulent lifestyle. Those who have just enough essentials are struggling for their lives every day. They fall short of the fundamental criteria. Such insecurity pervades human life, as well as the development and survival of living things.
The Abhayudaan Foundation aspires to build a world free of poverty in which every child, family, and community is connected, productive, and flourishing. The aim of Abhayudaan Foundation is to create the conditions for transformative change, which will lead to the creation of a community that values equality and treats everyone with respect.
And, because Abhayudaan Foundation believe that वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम् (Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam) (the world is one family), it was founded in 2020 to work on the issues that matter, and the commitment of Abhayudaan Foundation towards a better future is inherent in all they do.
Their objective remains consistent throughout: to accelerate sustainable development in education, research, skill development, healthcare, sports, arts and culture, social justice, rural development, animal welfare, livelihood, water, sanitation and hygiene, and the environment. Every day, they work inspired by their overall goal for the benefit of the future.
Mission
The Abhayudaan Foundation works for people who are in need of daily essentials. Through their awareness programs and projects, they aim to make their living conditions better and provide them adequate opportunities, moral support, love and respect they are worthy of. Each stride toward humanity will aid in the construction of a better future, overcome socioeconomic hurdles, and catalyze sustainable development across various fields.[2]
Vision
The Abhayudaan Foundation wants to see a better future where people may fully realize their potential and ability. Work
'Together, Let's make a Happier World', is a campaign launched by Abhayudaan Foundation to start relief service by providing Happiness Kits to daily wage earners, laborers, construction workers, old age homes and others who come in the latter category, across the country. They are connecting with the Central and state governments for distributing these kits across.
With the initiative 'Together, let's stand with the daughter of mother Earth', Abhayudaan Foundation formed Abhayudaan Women Club to share, educate, express, point out, bring change, question, network, collaborate and motivate women from various fields and various locations.[3]
Working model
Abhayudaan Foundation's effective and efficient three-step model serves as a foundation for everything it does-
- Identify needs/demands-: They aim to recognize demands through surveys and researches with their interns and service partners being their primary links.
- Fulfill the demands: Demands identified in the first step will then be fulfilled with the expertise of supportive partners and resources acquired from raised funds.
- Bridge the gap between Demand and Supply: Their team and volunteers will be the key to unlocking this final step.
