Abhijeet (Prem Sagar). Abhijeet - Screen name given by V Shantaram ji - Shantaram Rajaram Vankudre referred to as V. Shantaram or Shantaram Bapu, was an Indian filmmaker, film producer, and actor known for his work in Hindi and Marathi films. He gave chance to Abhijeet's for his First Debut film : Jal Bin Machhli Nritya Bin Bijli in year(1971). Jal Bin Machhli Nritya Bin Bijli (transl. Fish without Water, Lightning without Dance) is a 1971 Bollywood romance film directed by V. Shantaram, with Abhijeet and Sandhya as leads, along with Vatsala Deshmukh, Iftekhar and Dina Pathak.
Actually Abhijeet's real name is Prem Sagar (full name with surname as Prem Sagar Gosain), He is Born on 22nd Oct 1938 at Dera Ghazi Khan before partition of India and moved to Delhi with parents and completed his studies in Mechanical Engineering. Later, He moved to Bombay (now Mumbai) Maharashtra in 1966 to start career into films and this how got selected after Screen Test for Jal Bin Machhli Nritya Bin Bijli,first Stereophonic recorded film and achieved Huge success in Box office because of its Story, Brilliant Music and Songs by All eminent Indian Playback Singers in Music of Jal Bin Machhli composer is Laxmikant Shantaram Kudalkar (Laxmikant Pyarelal), Pyarelal Ramprasad Sharma (Laxmikant Pyarelal) and Jal Bin Machhli lyricist or song writer is Majrooh Sultanpuri. It was Silver Jubilee film.
He also worked in unreleased film Beopaar with Radha Saluja and Danny Denzongpa, then Another film of Kartar Singh film venture Phool Aur Insaan with Vijayta and did not achieve success in Box office. One more Unstated film with Neetu Singh and a song with Jayshree T of Sabak Barkha Rani which was partly again picturised but this was Later released with Actor Shatrughan Sinha due to tactics in Keeping such circumstances and politics Prem Sagar (Abhijeet) left the Bollywood Films and got busy with his own Business of engineering in field of Air Conditioning and Air drying field. Currently He stays in Bandra West Mumbai India with his friends and family.
