Abhijit Naskar is a neuroscientist, author and poet-activist, primarily known for his works on neuroscience, human rights and peace. He has penned over 100 books, blending scientific insight with poetic calls for social justice.

Born in Calcutta India Abhijit Naskar grew up with his mother and father, as a child he was captivated most when tinkering with electronics, understanding the underlying methods these devices work. He initially intended to attend MIT and pursue and electrical engineering degree, however he was turned away due to financial issues. He later settled for the University Institute Of Technology, BU (UIT). At university he came to the realization he wasn't learning anything, and dropped out[1].

Quitting university Naskar embarked on a self-directed journey in neuroscience and psychology. As an autodidact, he published his first book, The Art of Neuroscience in Everything, in 2015, marking the beginning of an expansive and diverse body of literature. He has since authored over 100 books, including works on mental health, prejudice, social justice, and global harmony, such as What is Mind, We Are All Black and Fabric of Humanity.

Naskar has also written over 2,000 sonnets, which have made him a prominent poet of tolerance, reason and multiculturalism. The first Abhijit Naskar Sonnet appeared in Fabric of Humanity, 2018, following which, sonnets became a fundamental part of his literature. Some of his extensive works of sonnets are Giants in Jeans, Honor He Wrote, World War Human, Azad Earth Army, and Neurosonnets. 2000 of his sonnets have been compiled into two thousand-sonnet anthologies, namely, Humankind My Valentine and Citizen 2025.
