Abhishek Bhattacharya or COMRADE Abhishek Bhattacharya born on 3rd July 1995 in Kaikhali town of Kolkata suburbs is an Indian Communist student leader of the Communist Party of India (Marxist). He is the currently the leader of SFI(students federation of India) North 24 paraganas, west Bengal CPI(M)'S students wing. Bhattacharya often said an old styled orthodox hardliner Marxist rose to fame during the SFI annual meet when he was highly praised for his speaking capabilities and abundant knowledge about communism and Indian politics. His English speaking abilities added up for his premature success. In a political debate by THE TELEGRAPH an Indian English news paper he was highly appreciated by the judges for carrying out the perspective in exactly required manner and was noted by the local CPI(M) leaders present their for his vocabulary,speaking and leadership qualities. Presently in the eroding trend of the Communist power in Bengal he is regarded among the possible very talented future bright leaders to lead the party into limelight again. Bhattacharya is an admirer of the Argentine Communist revolutionist Che Guevera and follows the governance of the Fidel Castro Communist governance. Among Indian Communists he is a vivid admirer of the ex-Bengal chief minister Budhhadeb Bhattacharya, Subhash Chakraborty,and former hardliner Communist maestro Benoy Chowdhury. Among Indian Leftist freedom fighters he is a great admirer of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.
CONTROVERSY
Bhattacharya was criticized by the party leaders as he directly spoke against Jyoti Basu in an event of SFI, and on Twitter accusing Basu of leading a corrupt administration. He was suspended for three months after that incident.
