Abid Saleem

Abid Saleem (born on 3rd June 1969) is a Pakistani fashion and commercial photographer. He works as a freelance photographer. He is also a three-time nominee of the Lux Style Awards.

Early Life

Abid Saleem is the son of Muhammad Saleem, who used to work in Adamjee Insurance Company. He has two brothers, and he is the youngest one. During his early life, he studied in the University of Karachi. Abid was born and lives in Karachi.

Career

Abid was in grade 10th when he accidentally entered the field. He gained interest in this field as many people of the industry used to live in his area. His first visit on a shoot was on the set of a former model, Mansoor, and the photographer there was Arif Mehmood. This was an outdoor shoot and also the moment when he realized what exactly he wanted to do. He did his first shoot at I.I Chundrigar, and luckily, without any professional experience, it came out really good. So the first cheque he received was Rs 3500, which at that time was a very huge amount. With that amount, he upgraded his cameras and equipment. He has also been in 15 commercials and a drama. It has almost been 30 years of his life in this industry.
