Abrar Mustafa Khan
Abrar Mustafa Khan was an Indian plant pathologist and nematologist. He was born on October 23, 1919, and died in August, 2004.[1]
Career
He was a professor at the Department of Botany, Aligarh Muslim University.[1][2] Due to his efforts in the field of nematology, he is often associated with the sobriquet 'Father of Indian Nematology'.[1] Khan also served as the first president of the Nematological Society of India.[3]
He retired from his post as professor in 1979 and was made the professor emeritus for life in 1982.[4]
Legacy
A conference hall at the Department of Botany, Aligarh Muslim University was named after him in 2016.[4]
