Absolute Intense Wrestling

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Absolute Intense Wrestling (AIW) is an independent American professional wrestling promotion founded in the year 2005 in Cleveland, Ohio, which primarily runs shows in Northeast Ohio.

Early Days

John, at 15 years old, wanting to run his own wrestling show with some of his friends, called up local Cleveland wrestling legend JT Lightning to rent a wrestling ring. JT accepted on the condition of being on the show and $300 for renting the ring. Once he arrived, he noticed the untrained high school students trying their hand at wrestling, and became a sort of mentor for the promotion until his death in 2011. AIW promotes an annual JT Lightning Wrestling Invitational Tournament. [1]The promotion was officially founded as Absolute Intense Wrestling in 2005 by John Thorne and Chandler Biggins.
