Abubakar Siddique
Abubakar Siddique (pronounced: A·bu-Bekr Siddiq [uh-boo-bek-er sid-dik]) was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. He is the youngest of three siblings, with two older sisters. His father was a college professor.
At just 14 years old, inspired by his passion for art, Abubakar Siddique founded PRODUCTIONS VIDEO COMIC BOOK (PRODUCTIONS VCB) in 2019, an entertainment company that marked the beginning of his creative journey. Although he later dropped out of his software engineering course in his second year, his dedication to creative pursuits never wavered. He continued writing, producing, and directing films that uplifted his community.
At 16, in 2021, he faced personal loss when his father passed away due to COVID-19 pneumonia, a tragedy that brought many challenges. Abubakar remained committed to his mission, believing that his voice and work could make a meaningful impact around the world.
As the founder and CEO of PRODUCTIONS VCB, Abubakar Siddique is also an actor and entrepreneur.[1][2]

Career
On December 6, 2019, Abubakar Siddique celebrated his 15th birthday by releasing his first animated short film, 'UFO MINI MOVIE.' At that time, he was learning video editing and animation.
Drawing inspiration from this early work, he created many animated short films and videos with a comic book-style theme. In 2019, he started a YouTube channel named 'VIDEO COMIC BOOK' to share his animated videos and short films. Subsequently, in 2020, he rebranded the channel as 'PRODUCTIONS VIDEO COMIC BOOK' to emphasize its role as a film production company.
On March 31, 2023, Abubakar removed all of his animated videos and short films to create new content, showcasing his enhanced skills and creativity. Currently, his primary focus is on producing feature films. His first feature film, 'ASRA,' in which Abubakar plays the role of Thomas, marks the beginning of his acting career.[5]

Abubakar has mentioned that he prefers to keep his personal life private and does not feel the need to engage in social media. He believes that his work speaks for itself. He also values his privacy and wants to keep some aspects of his life away from the public eye. However, he acknowledges the importance of social media in today's world and recognizes that it can be a powerful tool to reach a wider audience. That's why his manager, Sameera, handles his business accounts like Instagram and YouTube to keep his fans updated on his upcoming movies.[6]
Controversy
In February 2022, India witnessed a significant debate concerning the hijab, which garnered considerable attention due to its impact on society. In response to this controversy, Abubakar released an episode to express his thoughts on the matter. During the episode, he shared his perspective on Islam, noting that he sees it as a religion with strict guidelines, including the compulsory wearing of a hijab.
Abubakar raised concerns about the practice of imposing the hijab on young girls, arguing that it might limit their freedom of choice and empowerment. He acknowledged that the hijab's primary intention is to protect women from evil eyes, but he also expressed his belief that girls can protect themselves without wearing the hijab.
As a result of Abubakar's statements, many individuals criticized him, expressing concerns that his views might alienate him from the Muslim community due to his differing interpretation of certain religious aspects. It's noteworthy that Abubakar Siddique did not engage in detailed theological debates, focusing on his own perspectives.
The controversy led to Abubakar's team removing the episode from the VCB STREAMING PLATFORM. Although Abubakar did not offer an apology, he clarified that he did not intend to spread hatred or disrespect towards any religion. He emphasized that his beliefs prioritize freedom and humanity while still identifying as a Muslim.
The VCB team's removal of the episode potentially influenced the subsidence of the dispute in December 2022, leading to reduced discussions and reactions.
