Vincent Ravalec is a french writer, director-screenwriter and producer. He has created novels, short stories, songs and films, radio plays, comic strips, web series, essays, cooking recipes, art criticism and travel journals, with a subject range that is just as diverse: urban suburbs, the literary world, witchcraft, real estate, gastronomy, sound, chamanism, space travel, the plants used in initiation rites, illness, elections, drugs, swinging, ecology, Good and Evil, the apocalypse, education, artistic expression and... ci- nema. He has brought to life some of his books on screen. Others have brought to life others. He has written films for others. He has written graphic novels that he hasn’t drawn and songs that he hasn’t sung. His production company is called Les Films du Garage. His books have received various prizes, notably the Prix de Flore, the Prix des Bouquinistes, the Prix Auchan. One of his films opened the Cannes Cinema in France, others have been awarded at different festivals, including the Clermont-Ferrand festival. His web series, Addict, won the Prize for Innovation at the Geneva festival. His Sang pour Sang for Johnny Hallyday won a diamond record award. He also gives writing workshops and lectures in film schools. Fascinated by new writing mediums, he has written and directed films using Virtual Reality. He is a member of uni-VR and president of the VRSTORY collective.
