Ada Ameh is a famous Nollywood actress, comedian, producer and television personality. She is very skillful, creative and talented in acting and interpretation of movies roles. Her ability to interpret her roles and fit into any character has placed a demand on her in Nollywood. She speaks Idoma, Ibibio and Yoruba fluently and a little of the Igbo language.[1]
Early life and Education[edit]
Ada Ameh a Nigerian of the Idoma tribe in North-Central Nigeria. She was born and raised in a naval barracks on Malu (Mobil) road in Ajegunle, Lagos State in south-western Nigeria, where she also completed both her primary and secondary education obtaining her First School Leaving Certificate and the West African Senior Secondary Certificate. At age 14, she got pregnant out of wedlock and had a daughter as a result.[2]
Career[edit]
She was discovered Zeb Ejiro who had believe in abilities and in 1995 he gave her a shot in the movie “Domitila” and ultimately she joined the jthe Nigerian movie industry (Nollywood) and rose to fame in 1996 after playing the role of Anita who acted as a greenhorn in the Nollywood blockbuster movie “Domitila” a movie produced and directed by Zeb Ejiro. The Movie “Domitila” brought her to limelight and gave her a lot of advantage in Nollywood. According to her other early influence in career are actors Pat Okiri and Basorge who both taught her how to interpret scripts. In 2003, she acted in the Nollywood blockbuster hilarious movie “Aki na Ukwa” alongside with Chinedu Ikedezie, Osita Iheme and Amechi Muonagor, where she played the role of Gladys. In 2006, she starred in the popular television series “The Johnsons” which is currently running on DSTV. Her career spans over 22 years. And she has acted in over a 100 movies.
