Adam Arritola (born May 26, 1995 in Pembroke Pines, Florida) is a Cuban-American[1] festival curator, improvisational creator, and philosopher[2] currently residing in Rochester, New York.

Miami Psych Fest / Eclectic Overdrive

Since 2012, Adam has organized events in primarily the South Florida area focused on merging clashing artistic subcultures.

Adam founded "The Perfect Trip: Miami Psych Fest" as "Eclectic Overdrive" (which has no other team members) in 2017 with the purpose of unifying all walks of life through artistic culture. The event has since become a globally recognized event within outsider psychedelia culture.[3][4][5][6]

Eclectic Overdrive, which was founded in 2015, is solely run by Adam and has booked a plethora of artists ranging from controversial Billboard 200 #1 charting artist Xxxtentacion (deceased) to cult avant-garde legends such as Jandek, Kool Keith (solo, and with Clarence’s Renewable Resource Fund, a collaborative tribute to the late Blowfly as a one time performance), Keshavan Maslak, Abbey Rader, Thollem McDonas, Susan Alcorn, Hiroshi Hasegawa, Victoria Shen, id m theft able, Andrea Pensado, and TLASILA amongst many other notable names. Adam has self-funded all of his events and has intentionally avoided commercial sponsorships and partnerships. He has also produced his shows so that they can be financially accessible to as many people as possible.[7]

In 2018, The Perfect Trip: Miami Psych Fest II was named "Best Concert to Attend in Miami Summer 2018" by the Miami New Times.[8] It was also praised by Nardwuar the Human Serviette, The Needle Drop and board members of both AC Entertainment and Arts for Art.[3]

In 2020, the third Miami Psych Fest was cancelled due to COVID-19, as was to feature the first Floridian performance as well as first USA performance in over a decade of iconic krautrock band CAN frontman Damo Suzuki, algorave producers Renick Bell and Alex McLean, Scraping Teeth (named "Worst Band in the World" by SPIN Magazine in 1993)[9],[10] Crank Sturgeon, YTCracker, Killick Erik Hinds, Dino Felipe, Phoenecia, and many other notable performers.[4]
