Adam Chance Ray (born May 24, 1984), better known by his stage and recording name Adam Chance, is an American singer-songwriter and touring performer. He primarily tours with his full-time group Home Free. He was raised in Lower Alabama and went to college at the University of Alabama. He then moved to Nashville and found success as a full-time musician after appearing on The Sing-Off. He now resides in Los Angeles, California.
Early life[edit]
Chance was born in Pensacola, Florida and raised in Baldwin County, Alabama. He attended high school at Baldwin County High School in Bay Minette, Alabama, graduating in 2002. He then attended college at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
Musical career[edit]
After singing together in college choir at Alabama years prior, Chance was contacted by Mark McLemore in 2010 to appear on The Sing Off with the group Street Corner Symphony. [2] After accepting the offer, he became a member of the group until the year 2016 when he joined another Sing-Off alum, the all-vocal country band Home Free. [3]
He began releasing solo material in 2021 with the first single "If I Could Only Fly" (a Blaze Foley cover).
Personal life[edit]
Chance is engaged to Sami Matarante, and they reside together in Los Angeles, California.[4]
