Biography[edit]

Adam John was born and raised in Hollidaysburg, PA and attended Hollidaysburg Area High School.

Early on Adam John had an interest in music. At age 9, he would go to the local shopping mall and "belt out Jackson 5 songs” to anyone that would listen.[2] Adam told publications that "people would crowd around me from the entire mall and fill up my hat with money. One time I made a stack doing it. My friends and I went upstairs afterwards, and I bought us all skateboards. I didn’t do it for the hustle then, It was the thrill. I’ve always loved to perform and was never concerned about what someone thought about me doing it. My grandfather instilled that in me. I knew I had a gift.” [1]

Adam John sustained his interest in music and began officially writing songs in 8th grade.[1] Adam told publications that “teachers would be teaching lessons and I would be laser focused on a piece of composition paper writing notebooks full of lyrics down.”[1] Adam's thrill comes from creating art and connecting people together.[1]

Adam John's notes his main artistic influences as Michael Jackson, The Weeknd, Travis Scott, and Chris Brown. These influences are demonstrated in his 17 track album “Run from Love” released in 2020.[3] Adam mentioned to publications that the overall theme of “Run from Love” album to be a collection of “soulful heartbreak records, to hard-hitting trap songs, this sonic masterpiece of work portrays it all. Over ’80s synth beats (Meant to Be) (Promises), and high-impact trap/club instrumentals (Gucci Fedora) (Gettin to the Bands)." [4]

Career[edit]

Adam John released his debut album, "Run from Love", on November 11, 2020 as an independent release without the involvement of a corporate music label.[2] To supplement the album, Adam released several music videos directed by Mikey_2_Clipz with the DS_Creatives production team with Promises // Dreamer dual song video being the most notable of the mix. The "Run from Love" album is chill, mellow, and bearing a smooth, contemporary suavity, and introduces Adam John as one of the most intriguing R&B artists of Q4 2020.[5]
