Overview[edit]
Adam Snook is an emerging Thai-American filmmaker who studies Cinema Production at Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA. Snook's most recent and well-known film was the short film The Devil Works Harder (2022)[1][2] in which Snook produced, wrote, and directed himself.[3] During the summer of 2022, Snook had the opportunity to work with one of Thailand's most well known movie production house, GDH 559 as a production manager intern.
During his year in college, Snook won three awards for The Devil Works Harder (2022) at three Film festivals: Best Student Film at Thrill and Chills Film Festival December edition[4], Best Super Short Film at 1st Monthly Short Film Festival[5], and a finalist at Art Film Awards Monthly Competition.
In 2023, Snook is launching his independent movie producing career by executive producing indie short films written by writers/directors in the greater Pittsburgh area.
Biography[edit]
Adam Snook was born in Bangkok, Thailand and moved to the United States in 2008. During his years in school, Snook attended Andover High School and graduated in the class of 2020. In the world of performing arts, Adam Snook has participated in local theatres in the Wichita, Kansas area including Music Theatre of Wichita.
Snook found a love for live performances resulting in participation in both the cast and crew side of stage productions. With many opportunities, Snook honed the art of stage directing during the one-act performances, where he decided to write and direct his own musical, Pride (2020). After Snook's graduation, he received the highest artistic achievement scholarship to attend Point Park University's Conservatory of Performing Arts (COPA) in Cinema Production where he still continues his education today.
