The government of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh saw it as gambling and imposed a ban on Adda52 since it violated the Public Gambling Act of 1867. The Chief Minister of Andra Pradesh, Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, also urged the central government to block Adda52. Later southern Indian state, Tamil Nadu also banned the site for the same reason.[16][17] In response to this Adda52 counters tha it needs for a regulatory authority and licencing to avoid defaulters.[18]
