Adeel PK (Urdu: عدیل پی کے) (born Muhammad Adeel Kaleem on March 26, 1988 in Lahore, Pakistan) is a Pakistani Film-Maker.
Early life and Education
Adeel Pk, the eldest son of ace filmmaker Pervaiz Kaleem, was born on March 26, 1988. Adeel attended local high school in town along with his participation in showbiz activities as a child star and later left his academic career in commerce, unattended.
Personal life
Adeel got married to Javeria Zafar, one of his best friends, in 2008 and later they separated. They had two children from the marriage, Eshaan (5 years) and Shayaan (2 years). Later, in 2013, he formed a marital relation with Huma Naz, his colleague and a choreographer.
Career
Adeel debuted as a child artist in his father Pervaiz Kaleem's Moosa Khan and was involved in the making of "Mujhe Chaand Chahiye" & "Pehla Sajda" as an Assistant Director.
In 2004, Adeel started editing for various TV channels & production houses and edited popular TV shows like Barson Baad, Mehndi Walay Hath and Dil say dil tak. Adeel named himself as Film Editor, Visual Effects Artist & Sound Designer in Syed Faisal Bukhari's "Bhai Log - All About The Nation". Upon its theatrical release in Pakistan, the film surfaced as the highest-grossing movie. It also won major Lollywood awards. After that, he did Shehzad Rafique's "Ishq Khuda" & Syed Faisal Bukhari's "Sultanat" as Film Editor & Visual Effect Artist.
In 2011, editor-turned-director Adeel PK came up with some really unique ideas of visual storytelling and mesmerised audiences with his signature style of highly energised shaky camera moves and well-rendered visual artistry. Adeel, as director/cinematographer, fed dozens of music video films to music channels and introduced many underground singers to the mainstream music market. Popular singers today like Asrar, Wasso and Amir Azhar are a few of his discoveries.
Ishq Positive is Adeel's debut film as director/cinematographer; the film is under production and cast includes Film Actress Noor Bukhari, Wali Hamid Ali Khan and Erfan Khoosat. Adeel is all set to engage audiences with his tricky cinematography and modern-day filmmaking techniques.
