Aditi Narayanan
Aditi Narayanan (born September 2, 2002) is an American climate justice activist and co-founded the Arizona Youth Climate Strike.
Early life
Aditi Narayanan is an Indian-American of Tamil origin. Narayanan attended BASIS Phoenix high school.[1]
Activism
Arizona Youth Climate Strike's first event on March 15, 2019 was part of a larger US Youth Climate Strike.[2]
Since then, Narayanan and the Arizona Youth Climate Strike have held multiple rallies[3], town halls, and press conferences urging local Arizona leaders to take action on the climate crisis. Outside of her work with the Arizona Youth Climate Strike, Narayanan has worked on multiple Democratic and progressive political campaigns.
Personal Life
Narayanan currently attends Stanford University and is a part of Stanford Women in Politics.
Awards
In 2019, Narayanan received a Youth Award from the Maricopa County Office of Public Health[4]. Additionally, the Arizona Youth Climate Strike has also received awards from the Maricopa County Office of Public Health[5], along with the MLK Diversity Award from the city of Tempe[6] and another youth advocacy award from a local chapter of the Sierra Club.
