Adnan Azad Asif (Bengali: āφāĻĻāύāĻžāύ āφāϜāĻĻ āφāϏāĻŋāĻĢ; born 13 May 1985), also known as Adnan Azad Asif and Asif, is a Bangladeshi documentary photographer, photojournalist, actor and visual artist.[1][2] He has made black and white photographs about climate change, political violence and the Wildlife refugee crisis.[3][4][5][6] He has also been practicing fine art photography and digital art for many years.[7][8][9][10]

He was awarded the Siena International Photo Awards Discovery of the Year 2020[11] He also received the Bangladesh in Drone Photo Awards 2020 Awards for his series "Siena International Photo Awards"[12]

Early life and education

He was born in a small town in Bogra, Bangladesh; Asif is the eldest of his three brothers. He was brought up in a middle class Muslim family. He had a rich library in his home where he spent a long time reading literature and looking at art.[13] He was passionate about painting from early childhood and practiced writing Bengali poetry. He was introduced to photography whilst studying Film & Video Production.[14][15][16] Adnan was born in Bogra, Bangladesh. He has been researching on reptiles for a long time.[17][18] Asif is also well known for his acting and modelling works to all walks of people in Bangladesh. He works and plays a vital role for wildlife conservation in his own country.[19][20] Asif passed SSC from Government Azizul Haque College in 2000, then passed again in 2002 and took Honors degree from the same college in 2007. He then took courses and degrees in National Institute of Information Technology in Computer Engineering in India. He is one of the best scholars in the country for higher education.
