Adolpho Bloch
Adolpho Bloch GCIH, born Avram Yossievitch Bloch (Ukrainian: Аврам Йоссійович Блох; Russian: Аврам Йосиевич Блох) (Zhytomyr, Russian Empire, 8 October 1908 — São Paulo, 19 November 1995)[citation needed] was one of the most important press and television tycoons in Brazil.[citation needed] Founder of the Bloch Group, he created the weekly magazine Manchete in 1952, and he also established the television network Rede Manchete in 1983.[citation needed]
He was a cousin of author Pedro Bloch.[1]
