Adv Abhay Nevagi
Abhay Nevagi is an Indian advocate born in Pune on 15 July 1956.[1] Advocate Nevagi became very popular when he took up the cases of both Dabholkar and Pansare murders.[2] He fought for the Dabholkar and Pansare murder case for 3 long years at the Mumbai High Court without charging any professional fees, as he had become emotionally involved with the case and their respective families. Abhay Nevagi has also worked for many other social causes, like the Sugar Mill Provident Fund case. He contested this case on behalf of the workers and labourers and won, giving them their rights. Advocate Abhay also contested and won the Kolhapur district central co-operative bank case on behalf of petitioner Tejpal Shrikant Ingale.[3] He fought against Mohan Shamrao Mane at the High Court of Judicature at Bombay. Adv Abhay Nevagi was also involved in Preet Mandir investigation case for their alleged involvement in inter-country adoption rackets.[4]
