Bright Chimezie Uzoma (born 30 April 1990 in Rivers State), better known as Adviser Comedian, is a Nigerian comedian, content creator, actor, and masterful compere (MC)[1].
He rose to stardom in 2012 after performing at "Stand Up Nigeria[2]". Since then, Adviser has organized popular stand-up comedy concerts such as The Calling Of Adviser and a popular charity concert tagged Street Jamz..
Adviser has featured in a lot of both comedy and non-comedy shows including Day Of A Thousand Laugh (2014, 2015), Chronicle of Ushbebe (2015), Glo Lafta Fest (2015), Alibaba 1st January Show (2016), Nigerian Queen, Crack Ya Ribs (2013 - present), AY Live (2013 - present), Akpororo vs Akpororo (2015 - present), Funny Born Untamed (2019), Akpororo Live on Stage (UK Tour) (2020), Acapella My Mic & I (2021), Bole Festival (2019, 2021).
He has received numerous accolades, including three times Comedian of the Year Port Harcourt, four times Best Dressed Comedian of the Year Port Harcourt, Alibaba Spontaneity Finalist 2015.
Early life
Bright Chimezie Uzoma hails from Ebenator Ekwe in Isu Local Government Area in Imo State, Nigeria. His father, Fidelis Iheme Uzoma is a contractor and a civil servant married to two wives. His mother, Charity Iheme (the first wife) is a trader. Adviser is the first son, second child of four children, with two step brothers.
Adviser grew up in southern Nigeria where he started his comedy career through acting. He attended Nigerian Navy Primary and Secondary School in Port Harcourt (Rivers State) and relocated to Owerri (Imo State) to further his studies. Where he studied Bio-Technology at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri and graduated in 2013.
Adviser then went for His National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) 2014 in Calabar, Cross River State. Where he served His Fatherland. In University, he worked in the radio station (Orient FM) in Owerri as a volunteer, Raypower FM in Port Harcourt.
Career
2008 - 2017
Adviser started his career in the late 2008 as a bar comedian, with a stage name "Holy Chimo". Later he started attending campus events like "Futo Must Laff", "Freshers Night, Mr & Mrs Futo" in 2009.
In 2010, he changed his stage name to MC Adviser, attended his first comedy challenge titled "Peak Talent Hunt" in Owerri. But, he did not win it. After the failure at Peak Talent, Adviser took it as a challenge and applied for the "Imo Got Talent" and finally won his first competitive comedy show.
In 2011, he applied for "Stand Up Nigerian" in Lagos. This was his first national comedy challenge and came out as one of the finalists. Surprisingly, this was his first time being in Lagos and attending a Nationwide challenge. After making it to the finals, this opened the way for many platforms such as being featured in AY Live, Glo Lafta Fest, etc. and other corporate events.
In 2015, he applied for the Alibaba Spontaneity and made it to the finals as one of the finalists alongside MC Edo Pikin, Woli Arole, Short Family, Dee One, Phronesis, MC Porkupyne and many others.
The Calling Of Adviser
In 2013, he hosted his first-ever gated event show titled "The Calling Of Adviser" in Owerri. Since then, the event has gone on to become an annual event hosted across multiple states in Nigeria including Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Calabar, Cross Rivers State, etc.
Street Jamz - Praise and Charity Event
The goal of this event is to reach out to people, support them, and provide an atmosphere for them to experience God on the street. This event started in 2015 and since then has featured the likes of Akpororo, Mark Angel Comedy, Julius Agwu and many more
2018–present
Adviser hosted his first International tour titled West African Tour in the three countries Ghana, Togo, and Benin Republic. In 2019 he went to Dubai for another tour
Personal life
Adviser is currently single, and a lover of food and football.

Adviser Comedian has made lots of short films and has acted in short movies with his fellow comedians taking on the other parts in order to make the movie complete.
