Aerockets Corp. (Aerockets) is a Belgian aerospace manufacturer headquartered in Belgium. It was founded in 2019. Aerockets has created several launch vehicles: Sharky (MK2), SeaTurtle, and Godspeed.
In 2020, the first rocket, named Sharky, was launched, quickly followed by Sharky MK2. At this point, Aerockets was still experimenting with rockets based on a quick release of pressure to launch the vehicle into the air.
In October, Aerockets launched the first rocket propelled by solid fuel. The first test launches included launching bamboo sticks into the air; this quickly developed into custom-designed rockets created with a 3D printer. The first launch attempt with a parachute failed, and the rocket crashed before the parachute could open. Following this failure, Aerockets started launching rockets without parachutes. The first launches in this series were a success, and the rocket was able to be reused five times before being retired.
