Aeronautical Society of Nepal (AeSN) is the first and principle society for aeronautical, aviation and aerospace professionals in Nepal. The organization was officially registered under the Ministry of Home Affairs on January 7, 2019 (2075/09/23 BS), which is now marked as the date of formation of the society.

The ad hoc committee formed in 2018 comprised of young aerospace and aviation professionals and academics from Nepali aviation industries, the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, and the Institute of Engineering. It was tasked with drafting the constitution of the society and held the First All Nepal Aeronautical Assembly on June 1, 2018, to discuss the formation of the society.[1] In addition, the committee worked to form an advisory subcommittee with senior professionals of the Nepalese aeronautical community. The first ad hoc president was Er. Bikalpa Bomjan Gurung, a former flight operations engineer at Buddha Air Nepal. The working committee ended its tenure with the first General Assembly for the term 2019-2020 on 30th June 2019. Er. Aashish Manandhar of Buddha Air was nominated as the president of the society through the assembly, which also nominated the current executive board and officiated the advisory subcommittee.

The members of the advisory subcommittee are current and former high-level senior officials of Nepalese Aviation, including the former Director General of Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal Ratish Chandra Lal Suman.

The society regularly organizes outreach activities and seminars in topics related to aviation and aerospace.[2] It has also started mentoring and counseling programs for young professionals and students in the field.
