Aerosoft GmbH is a German video game developer and publisher founded in 1991 and based in Büren, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Founded by Winfried Diekmann, Ralf Hartmann, Bernward Suermannhe company's main focal point were development of software for training and exam preparation of pilots as well as the distribution of professional procedure trainers were. The company mostly specialises in creating simulation games.

Aerosoft has been cooperating with US based software company Laminar Research since 2011 and is the exclusive European distributor for its X-Plane software.[1]. In collaboration with Creative Mesh, Aerosoft released Straw Harvest add-on in 2017 for the Farming Simulator series. The extension includes, among other things, licensed vehicles from the German agricultural company Bernard Krone Holding.

In 2020, Aerosoft became the exclusive distributor of the boxed version of Microsoft Flight Simulator for European markets[2]. An app for mobile devices, NDP Charts, was also released in March. The software uses data from Lufthansa Systems to show the user departure and arrival times at airports around the world. Later followed with the bridge building game Bridge! 3 and the emergency simulation THO Simulator other mobile apps. The in-house launcher Aerosoft One , which can be used to download and install flight simulation add-ons, has been available since 2021[3]

Aerosoft GmbH was founded in 1991 at Paderborn/Lippstadt Airport by Winfried Diekmann, Ralf Hartmann and Bernward Suermann. In 1992 the first additional software TOP-Scenery 1 was published for the then Microsoft Flight Simulator 4.0. In addition to software, Aerosoft developed its first hardware in 1992, the ACP (Aircraft Control Panel), for flight simulation.

After the original focus on flight simulation, products in other genres were also released from 2002 onwards. In addition to add-ons for Microsoft Flight Simulator and X-Plane, the range today includes titles such as the Autobahn Police or Notruf 112 series as well as OMSI, On The Road, Tourist Bus Simulator, The Bus, Trucks & Logistics Simulator and World of Subways.
