Aethericism

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Aethericism is an art form that links the scientific, medical, divine and artist pursuits through the medium of art and discussion.

This art form reflects increasing appreciation for the holistic nature of human experience that is inspiring new trends in psychology (e.g., embodied cognition) and design (e.g., experience-centered design, use-centered design). The aesthetic aspects of experience are no longer seen as 'icing' on the experience 'cake,' but rather they are seen as fundamental components of experience and health.

Any art is a simulation of real world, some of its features. The key is to explore it. Simulation in science is a step in the same direction. So, to me, Athericism, as an artistic exploration of real world, is a step in the right direction.[citation needed][original research?]

Aetheric Action

Aethericism, is a cross-disciplinary approach to wholeness that unites scientific, medical, philosophical, divine and artistic thought.[1] Aethericism includes religious perspectives, such as; Christianity and Buddhism, as well as subtle energetic systems linked to the Chakras and Qi. It embraces physics and neuroscience, whilst also valuing esoteric traditions like Kabbalah. In addition, human capacities linked to intuition and psychic abilities are also considered important ways of knowing. Therefore, Aethericism provides a holistic approach to understanding human experience that is ‘inclusive’. For example, scientific explanations and mystical experiences can be explored and understood in mutually respectful ways.[2]

Aethericism acknowledges the importance of wholeness and multiple ways of knowing, where our relationship to ways of being and doing, intersect with our ways of becoming and belonging.[2] Thus, Aethericism views human beings as being purposeful and capable of actualizing their full potential, where personal identity (ego-consciousness) can be opened up to transpersonal Self (unitive-consciousness).[2] In terms of emergent human potential (inclusive of personal and transpersonal potential) ‘doing’ – as Aetheric Action – is both vital and dynamic for bringing about a deep connection to holistic living. Therefore, in this time of global crisis humanity is being challenged to transform destructive behaviors (consumerism) and participate in a collective shift in consciousness (holism), engaged through Aetheric Action.

Aetheriscism provides a holistic context that supports a shift in collective consciousness. Due to its inclusivity, it recognizes that humanity’s evolutionary journey into wholeness will not be straight forward, particularly as the global crisis is also recognized as a spiritual crisis Therefore, a multi-disciplinary perspective is needed to understand the context of people’s individual experiences of connectedness, awakening and wholeness. The awakening of Aetheric Action connects to the uses of imagination, compassion, and intelligence, to serve deep processes of integration and transformation. Aetheric Action is at the heart of what humanity ‘does’ collectively to co-create an improved future.
