Africlearn is a ​Cloud-based Ebook and Digital ​Learning Management Solution that provides personalized learning and guarantees improved learning outcomes among its users.

Africlearn, developed by Sherborne Consults Nigeria Limited was introduced in Nigeria in March 2018[1] as a digital education platform for students & teachers within secondary and tertiary institutions in Nigeria. The platform was set to help solve a major problem associated with education in Nigeria, textbook content as a digital learning solution. It was developed as a web and mobile-based platform where users can have access to a wide library of textbooks, videos and study materials that cut across various subjects taught in Nigerian secondary schools.[2]

Africlearn e-books and educational resources are available to users with mobile-optimized devices such as Android phones and Android Tablets via Android reader apps and personal computers with Windows PC readers. Users can create profiles as a personal user, School Management, Parent or Publisher. The bookstore contains e-books and resources with WAEC Curriculum-based secondary school subjects of Mathematics, English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Civics, Government, Agricultural Science, Geography, Financial Accounting, Commerce, Book Keeping, Computer Science, and Economics. Each book is text-based amplified with linked videos and also comes with linked assessment questions which can be accessed online and offline.

Technology and Design[edit]

Africlearn is underpinned by a flexible digital technology which enables e-books and contents to be easily aligned with the requirements of individual readers, teaching establishments and various curriculums. AfricLearn provides access for publishers of Educational and Non-Educational (Fiction & Non-Fiction) e-books to distribute and sell their books digitally via a secured platform with a piracy protected DRM technology.
