Age of Magic is a mobile collectible RPG developed by Playkot Ltd.[1]. The game received a soft launch in Australia, Canada, the Netherlands, Turkey and the Philippines in 2017, and was released worldwide in May, 2018[2]

Age of Magic is the mobile turn-based fantasy game about epic heroes, fighting on the remnants of an ancient magical world[3]

Each hero has their faction (Dwarves, Barbarians, Kobolds, etc.), class (Tank, Healer, Ranged Damager, etc.), element, skills and story.

Game Modes[edit]

There are 6 different game modes: Campaign, Arena, Tournament, Tomb of Horrors, Challenges and Events.[4]

Campaign consists of acts and chapters that develop the story.

Arena is the mode where players can fight against other players to test their strength.

Tournament takes place once every week. All players, who have entered into a battle against other player on the Arena at least once 24 hours before the Tournament, are split into Tournament groups. Players are sorted into groups according to the average power of their top five highest-level heroes.

Tomb of Horrors is the game mode where players can fight in battles with other players to get chests with Diamonds and other rewards.

Challenges mode consists of missions that can be completed only by special squads. Each mission in Challenges has its own squad conditions.

Events is the game mode where players of a particular level can participate in one of mini-campaigns every few weeks.

Story[edit]

Shards of the Past – Your adventure with the mighty hero Roland begins here! After Roland’s village is destroyed, he sets out to find the person… or creature responsible for the devastation. Roland soon finds that his mission to avenge his lost town does not come without its challenges as he wonders through the kobold invested jungles, but these troubles do not come without their blessings as Roland is quick to find allies to fight by his side such as the mighty Dragonkin Tank Rogar and the mysterious Barbarian Sorcerer Bellara, a Kobold or two might even join your journey along the way! As Roland and his crew of champions walk deeper, they eventually come to the outskirts of the Demon Citadel where Roland’s crusade against the Legion of the Abyss begins![5]

Shadows of Death – Roland’s team is teleported to an unfamiliar alter surrounded by death and swampland, an area even the lifeless Arekhon avoid. Battle-worn and exhausted, the team uses what strength they have left to escape the forest, but are quick to find trouble with the Arekhon Undead. As the battles wage on, a strike of luck comes in the form of another Dragonkin, this time a gifted healer who goes by the name of Kharannah who agrees to join the band of heroes and aid them in whatever way she can which is welcomed with warm hearts as everyone escapes the swamp and enters into the Arekhon Kingdom ruled by the powerful Blood Emperor![6]
