History

J.H.I was founded in 1999 in Ashqelon, Israel by a family of new repatriates: Valentina and Fridrih Rubinshtein agronomist and electronics engineer. Agrosheriff Ltd was transformed from J.H.I - a private, family-owned company to a joint-stock company in 2013,[1] with an additional partner, Mrs. Marina Kataev, mechanical engineer and marketing director, was added as a co-owner. The joint-stock business structure expanded the geographical scope agency's offices on different continents.

Timeline

  • 1999 – J.H.I, a private company was founded in Israel.[2]
  • 2005 - Establishment of a representative offices network outside of Israel.
  • 2008 – Introduces an all-in-one automation system for horticulture.
  • 2011 – Introduces integrated fertigation unit.
  • 2013 – Transformation into a joint-stock company, rebranding and changing the name to Agrosheriff Limited.
  • 2018 – Developing horticulture complex "Agricluster" in Uzbekistan.

Product

The company produces kits of fertilizer pumps and automation units, allowing small plantation farmers to manage their yields in an automated manner.[3] Other Israeli technologies are integrated by Agrosheriff for efficient use of water, which conserves the environment and reduces expenses. [4] In 2020, the company introduced an indoor grow facility which allows households to grow their own food on an automated basis. The company's solutions (buzzword) are designed to control resource consumption,[5] such as water, fertilizer, and electricity, while delivering a calculated harvest through the use of precise data. Among the solutions are irrigation, fertigation, nethouse and greenhouse structures, shading and anti-insect nets, filtration, water treatment, and automation systems.[6][7]

Other services

Agrosheriff offers agronomic and technological support to organizations and individuals on setting up agricultural farms, agribusiness, and hobby gardens.[8] The company assists in developing business plans, conducting market research, and upgrading farms. Aquaculture, animal husbandry, water treatment, processing, and storage of agricultural products are additional services Agrosheriff implements in collaboration with Israeli agricultural partners.[9]

Business strategy

In the late 1990s, Israeli agricultural technology was out of reach for small and medium-scale farmers outside of Israel because of its high cost and complexity.[10] The goal of Agrosheriff, according to Fridrih Rubinstein, was to "construct equipment based on existing technologies that will be user-friendly and affordable". Self-assembly irrigation, filtration, and fertigation kits are among the company's products.[11] Designed to be assembled and operated by the end-user without the need for specialized knowledge. Similarly, Agrosheriff provides full-featured greenhouses for horticulture projects.[12] [13]
