He made his acting debut in the romantic drama Saiyaara (2025), directed by Mohit Suri and produced by Yash Raj Films. The film was commercially successful and established him as a leading newcomer in Hindi cinema.[2][3]
Early life and education
Panday was born on 23 December 1997 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, to businessman Chikki Panday and wellness author Deanne Panday.[4] He is the nephew of actor Chunky Panday and cousin of actress Ananya Panday.[5]
He attended Oberoi International School in Mumbai and later pursued higher education in Mumbai.[6][7][8]
Career
Assistant directing and early work
Before entering acting, Panday worked as an assistant director on Hindi films, including Freaky Ali (2016) and Rock On 2 (2016).[9] He also appeared in independent short-film projects during the late 2010s.[10][11]
Acting debut and breakthrough
Panday made his feature-film acting debut in Saiyaara (2025), opposite Aneet Padda. Directed by Mohit Suri and produced by Yash Raj Films, the film was released on 18 July 2025.[12][13]

Subsequent work
Following the commercial success of Saiyaara, Panday signed additional film projects. In 2026, multiple publications reported that he had begun work on an action-romance film directed by Ali Abbas Zafar.[19][20]
Media reports also indicated that several filmmakers approached him for future projects after the success of his debut film.
