Aharon Peretz

Aharon Peretz (Hebrew: אהרון פרץ) was a Tunisian Rabbi, Kabbalist, linguist and poet. He was the head Rabbi on the island of Djerba.[1]

Personal Life
Aharon Peretz was born in Djerba to Rabbi Avraham Peretz. His grandfather, Shlomo Peretz, came to Djerba from Morocco around the beginning of the 18th century.

- Kol Yaakov - A collection of Piyyutim
- Arugot HaBosem - A treatise on languages and linguistics
Two of his Piyyutim were set to music by Israeli composer Jonathan Bar Giora and sung by Israeli singer Miri Mesika.[2]
