Early years[edit]

Born In Egypt, she studied ballet with Russian teachers. She was a soloist dancer, and a ballet teacher and choreographer. She got her B.A in ballet choreography from The Higher Institute of Ballet and B.A in philosophy from Cairo University in 1980. She got her Diploma Ballet in 1983.

Professional Achievements[edit]

Prof. Ahlam was a lecturer in ballet before she became Ballet Master at the Higher Institute of Ballet. As of 2014, she is on the faculty at the department of Design Choreographyat the Higher Institute of Ballet –Academy of Arts.

In 2000 she became Board member of the Higher Institute of Ballet –Academy of Arts and modern dance lecturer at the University of Athletic-Cairo, as well as a participating choreographer at the second festival of women creators of the tow sea Greece.

She is Director of the classical ballet and modern dance Academic Company and head of the linguistic and translation center of the Academy of Arts.

From 2002 till 2006 she was a member of the classical ballet dance and choreographers competition of the high cultural council of Cairo.

She is member of CID UNESCO from 2010- Present.

From 2003 till 2006 she was director of the Egyptian ballet school of the Higher Institute of Ballet of the Academy of Arts.

She was head of ballet choreography and directing department Higher Institute of Ballet, Academy of Arts from 2007-2011. She was one of the committee of judges of Egyptian Theater and one of the judges committee member of children folklore dance companies in Egypt.

In 1999 she won the silver cup for the jazz dance at the spring festival in Korea.^{[citation needed]} In 2005 she became Head of assistant professor's promotions committee and became member of professor's promotions-Higher Institute of Ballet and high institute of folklore dance at Academy of Arts.

2004 African countries folklore festival- China.
2011 China festival of art and cultural for children.

Thesis Supervisor[edit]

1995 supervised MA thesis on {the distinctive characteristic of classical ballet and modern dance performances-comparative and applied study}.
2011 supervised ( ph.d thesis on ( chrisstoff mayo ).
2003 Supervised an MA thesis on {Ali Al Zi’baq in Jose Limon’s technique-analytical and implied study}.
2004 supervised (MA thesis on (Graham and Cunningham – analytical & implied study).
