Ahmad Bassam - أحمد بسام (born 30 September 1985) is an Egyptian sports administrator and former squash coach. Bassam is a current board director of the Professional Squash Association, and a former manager of Wadi Degla Clubs squash team.

Early life and education

Bassam was born in Cairo in 1985. Bassam studied at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport in Cairo, Egypt, where he obtained his bachelor's degree in Engineering before acquiring his master's degree from Maastricht School of Management in Maastricht, Netherlands.

Squash career

Bassam devoted his life to squash. He played locally for Maadi’s famous squash clubs Maadi and Wadi Degla for fifteen years. After the end of his playing career, he was involved in coaching and sports management at the highly-regarded Wadi Degla Clubs in Egypt, coaching several top players and organizing one world championship for each of men and women, where he was the main organizer for 2014 Women's World Open Squash Championship and 2016 Men's World Open Squash Championship.
