Ahmad Ibrahim Mukoshy (born December 25, 1989 in Sokoto State[1][2] is a Nigerian Entrepreneur and Programmer prominently known for his web hosting company, GigaLayer which he founded in 2013.[3][4][5] Ahmad is quoted by YNaija as one of the 100 most innovative Nigerians in technology, 2015 [6] and among the most influential Nigerians on Twitter, 2013.[7]

Career[edit]

Ahmad is a graduate of Physics from Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto[8]. He grew up in Sokoto and started his business career there before deciding to relocate to Lagos in 2013 [9]. He worked with a few companies such as Afrovision Group from Cameroon and ConnectNigeria.com in the early days of career. [10]

He has built a number of ventures in the past, most of which are now defunct such as NairaParking and Yarnable which was acquired in 2011[11] among others.[12][13] Ahmad began his programming career at the age of 14 [14] and built his first company at the age of 17. [15] Prior to building internet ventures, Ahmad was a freelancer since 2007. [16]
