He was born in Kuwait in 1962, and as soon as he finished high school, his parents returned to Bahrain and he traveled to The United States to finish his studies in IT major but he left the US to the Soviet Union in which he settled and studied law.[1]

Career[edit]

AlQaheri settled in Kyiv in Ukraine. However, For him, Ukrainian cuisine was different from Bahraini cuisine, so he had to start cooking for himself as he had many Gulf cooking recipes that he learned from his mother and his aunt.

Later,  AlQaheri began sharing his daily life in the kitchen with the public through social media, including Instagram. He began making videos of himself while cooking and shared them with his fans.

AlQaheri promoted his work using social media like Instagram and that helped him attracting clients who started ordering special dishes.

Cooking competition shows[edit]

Bahraini chef Ahmed Al Qaheri participated in several international and local  cooking competition shows, including:

  • Cooking Festival in Riyadh
  • The Taste Show in Cairo
  • Hala Bahrain morning show

Cooking vs law[edit]

AlQaheri compares the professions of cooking and law, describing cooking as:

“An art like any other, cooking is an art, a feeling, and a taste. As for the legal profession, it makes you feel responsible for a person whose fate is often in your hands, although it is not you who issue the judgment against him.”

From his point of view, the common factor between cooking and law is

"The process of research and planning, preparing a delicious meal needs planning and research, as well as the legal profession. To defend your client, you need to search deeply in some interpretations and law books."[1]
