Ahmed Baccar (أحمد بكار, born 8 August 1997), known professionally as Hello Frick, is a Tunisian disc jockey and music producer who charted in [1]Beatport and [2]Traxsource, known for his down-tempo single Land.

Hello Frick has performed at clubs such as Droom and Radisson Blu Djerba.

Early Life[edit]

Hello Frick, originally named Ahmed Baccar, was born on August 8, 1997, in Houmet Souk, Djerba. He grew up in a family environment influenced by music, with his parents Hafedh and Sonia Baccar, and two sisters, Zayneb and Aicha. From an early age, Hello Frick displayed a keen interest in music, engaging in activities such as dancing and immersing himself in various musical genres, including Disco, Funk, and Pop, spanning the years 1970 to 2000.

In 2015, Hello Frick's passion for music took a significant turn when he attended the Djerba Land of Peace and Tolerance festival in Houmet Souk, where he had the opportunity to witness a captivating performance by Tunisian DJ Mehdi Maghraoui. This experience left an indelible mark on him, igniting his aspiration to pursue a career as a DJ. Motivated by the festival, Hello Frick embarked on his musical journey by downloading software applications such as Virtual DJ and the audio workstation FL Studio. These tools provided him with the means to delve into the art of mixing and music production, allowing him to experiment with different sounds and develop his skills in the field.

Hello Frick's initial record deal was secured with the esteemed Italian label "Sonno Record" in 2016, marking a significant milestone in his career. His debut single, "Check This Out," was released under this label, showcasing his talent and musical vision. Subsequently, Hello Frick continued to expand his discography with releases on various other prominent labels, including "Future Plan Sounds" and "DanceTool," further establishing his presence within the music industry.

In 2021, Hello Frick achieved another noteworthy accomplishment when he signed his downtempo track titled "Land" with "Orgnc Records," a label helmed by Dan Mckie and affiliated with the renowned 1980 Recordings family. "Land" swiftly garnered recognition and support from major industry players, such as Toolroom, who included the track in their playlist. This accolade further bolstered Hello Frick's reputation within the organic house genre, leading to his selection as Beatport's new best hype organic house for September 2021. Furthermore, "Land" secured positions in both the Top 100 Hype and Top 100 for Organic House charts.

In the same year, Hello Frick's impact on the music scene was acknowledged by Chartmetric, a comprehensive platform catering to artists and music industry professionals. Chartmetric ranked Hello Frick among the top 50,000 artists worldwide, solidifying his status as a rising force within the industry.
