Introduction[edit]
Ahmedabad University is a private institution set up by the Ahmedabad Education Society in 2009. The university has 4 schools under it and offers various different courses and subjects to choose from. Ahmedabad University is affiliated with various academic institutions and research colleges. The college believes in diversity in pedagogy. The main mission of the university is to bring advancement in the economic, social and cultural development of the local and national communities. The college offers undergraduate, graduate and doctoral studies in various fields such as Management, Computer Sciences, Life Sciences, etc. The university is approved by University Grants Commission (UGC). The central campus of Ahmedabad University is on Commerce Six Roads, Ahmedabad. Ahmedabad University laboratory facilities are provided 12 hours a day. Ahmedabad University has a strong community which has students from all over the country which bring with them their own set of experiences and knowledge. There are various student clubs which help a student to pursue the field he/she is interested in, these clubs are informal units and have students from various backgrounds and different years. Ahmedabad University follows a very strict admission policy and blindly follows the merit-based admission system, they not only look at your academic performance but also looks at your co-curricular activities and social work.

AES Ahmedabad Education Society was established in 1935 and is an educational trust which has played a significant role and is still playing a massive role in establishing schools and universities in all over Gujarat.

Admissions in all the colleges and schools under AES are purely on merit, there are very less seats reserved for NRIs and other sections of the society. Shri Kasturbhai Lalbhai, the ancestor of the current president of the AES Sanjay Lalbhai played a massive role in bringing AES on such a high level. He went from donor to donor and talked to them as he not only wanted their money but wanted them to be social reformers of their society. AES has future plans of creating new infrastructure and school which will be launched by Ahmedabad University or CEPT University. Ahmedabad University is a major and main part of AES and mostly all the steps are taken by Ahmedabad University on behalf of AES.

The central campus of AU is situated at Commerce Six Roads in Ahmedabad ,Gujarat. The university has a Career Development Centre which provides a professional guidance to graduate students who require help related to job placements. It also offers career counselling and arrange various workshops on weekly basis related to professional development. The university has 4 Schools and 4 Centres under it.

1)Amrut Mody School Of Management (AMSOM)[edit]
Amrut Mody is the management school of AU and offers undergraduate, graduate and doctoral education programs. It is situated centrally in Ahmedabad. They want students to learn in a project basis method and not the traditional lecture method. They offer various core and elective courses which allows a student to grow in whichever field they want to. Professor Devanath Tirupati is the Dean of Amrut Mody School Of Management.
2)School of Arts and Sciences (SAS)[edit]
School of Arts and Sciences is under construction and will still take a few months to be built completely. The school will offer undergraduate and graduate programs and will also offer a variety of courses. The school will have five divisions which are, Humanities and Languages, Social Sciences, Mathematical and Physical Sciences, Biological and Life Sciences and Performing and Visual Arts. The school is expected to be ready by summer 2019 and is built by Rahul Mehrotra Architects. Right now the school is operating its basic activities like updating its site, overlooking the construction and the dean’s office, etc. from the SEAS Building. The school’s Dean is Patrick French.
3)School of Computer Studies (SCS)
This institution was set up by the Ahmedabad Education Trust in 2000, it was first known as Ahmedabad Education Trust Institute of Computer Studies. This school is for the students who want to pursue in the field of Information Technology, the school offers various minor and major courses and also offers Masters of Computer Applications programme. The main aim of the school is to train IT specialists for innovative use of IT. Professor Sanjay Chaudhary is the Associate Dean of SCS.
4)School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS)[edit]
School of Engineering and Applied Sciences offers various engineering courses and offers BTech, MTech and PhD programmes. The school has state-of-the-art laboratories. Like other schools under Ahmedabad University, even SEAS follows a project based learning. The school’s building has followed the Ahmedabad airport’s design. SEAS not only teaches in a project based manner but also hosts various sports & cultural events and industrial visits.

1)Center for Heritage Management[edit]
The Centre for Heritage Management offers a significant study of Heritage Management, the faculties of this centre believe that through their in-depth research and studies they can help this young generation of India preserve various monuments and artifacts of India. They believe that India has a rich history and has various monuments which need to be preserved on a daily basis. The centre organizes various panel discussions, field trips and workshops which help the students to learn Heritage Management in a more practical manner.
2)VentureStudio[edit]
Fundamentally VentureStudio is an incubation centre . It helps young entrepreneurs to innovate and develop their ventures, and also provides mentoring services to them from domain experts. The VentureStudio was established in 2011 and is in active collaboration with Stanford University’s Center for Design Research.
3)Center for Learning Futures[edit]
The Centre for Learning Futures, abbreviated as CLeF is basically a support center for students, it hosts various workshops and leaning initiative for students. They also host the Independent Study Period, which is a study period for 2 weeks in the month of December which is compulsory for the students to opt and offers various credited courses in different fields like Drone Development to Literature and Drama.
4)Global Center for Environment and Energy[edit]
Global Center for Environment and Energy is a centre of excellence at Ahmedabad University. It pursues academic research in the field of energy and environment and also develops various develops experiments in this field. The main aim of this centre is to develop technology to fight vital global challenges.

Ahmedabad University has partnerships with various universities all over the world. The collaboration with these universities provides a global exposure to the students and also participation of international experts. Ahmedabad University is in a partnership with Stanford University’s Center for Design Research, Olin College of Engineering, University of Ferrara, University of Valladolid, University of Bradford, Rennes school of Business and last but not the least Rady School of Management.
