Aida Korman

Aida Korman is a Bosnian and Italian trained fashion designer born in Sarajevo. With Sarajevo under siege, Aida dedicated her time to handicraft research and thus began the idea of creating a fashion brand. During the nineties, Aida Korman created her own fashion label in the Czech Republic, she moved back to Sarajevo and then to Italy graduating Fashion Design at Istituto Europeo di Design in Rome.

Aida Korman has presented at numerous events including haute couture collection Ad modum Bosniesem, inspired by the life of the last queen of Bosnia, Katarina in Rome and at the Belgrade Fashion Week & MTV’s campaign "against human trafficking" among many others.

Aida Korman’s collections are appreciated for the revaluation of traditional manufacturing, an ongoing research on the handcraft and the reinvention of a new fashion identity. Her vision of fashion combines an entire world of variations, contrasts and diversities. Her style reflects the cultural identity of the Balkans and her respect of all cultures - Slavic, Italian, Turkish, Byzantine, Hungarian, French, Islamic from north of Africa - creating an extraordinary link between East and West.

In the last decade Aida Korman won awards, designed touristic buses, army uniforms, her own collections.
