Early life[edit]

Aiden Hussain Malik was born in St Micheal's Hospital, Bristol, England, on October 21st 2001 to Louise and Joe Malik. His early childhood was spent growing up in Worle, Weston-super-mare. In 2010, the Malik family moved to Brent Knoll, a village close by. Malik attended Castle Batch primary school up to age 9, where he learned to play the piano and sang in a school group. From ages 9-13, he attended Hugh Sexey middle school, where he found his passion for performing, took up the ukelele, and frequented the school's many talent shows. Towards the end of his time at Hugh Sexey, Malik began presenting to self-founded weekly internet radio shows, East Brent Live on a Saturday, and Hughsexey Live on Friday. Proceeding this, Malik attended the Kings of Wessex Acadamy for his GCSE and A-level years. Here Malik took up weekly busking in Bristol and finally learned to play the guitar that now plays the largest role in most of Malik's compositions. Between 2016 and 2018, Malik was half of a duo in Bristol called Not Related, alongside friend and lookalike George Hickey.

After winning a local public speaking award in 2019, Malik started work as a local maths tutor in January of 2020. The following September, he attended the University of Exeter to read Bsc Business Economics, where in August 2021, he became President of Campus Bands Society. As of June 2021, he has created his own course to assist young adults in managing their money.

Musical Career[edit]

Aside from occasional school talent shows and Christmas fairs performing "messy" original songs, Malik began performing with a Bristol youth group called Remix in the former Colston hall in February 2016. Around the same time, he began busking in Bristol which he would continue weekly until July 2018 and picked up multiple gigs along the way such as the Bristol Harbour Festival, the Bristol Balloon Fiesta, the Bristol Fringe, and multiple private functions. From 2018, Malik rebranded as Aiden Malik Performs, offering two shows for venue and party bookings: "All Together Now", and "Dark Side Of The Tune". The latter show was a collection of comical and satirical numbers about the modern world. In 2019, Malik worked with a charitable organization called the Lockerz, producing a Christmas Single to raise money for ReEngange, which saw him appear on various TV and Radio interviews. During the Coronavirus lockdowns of 2020 and 2021, Malik wrote a number of songs that would later be released as a long EP called "Songs From A Pandemic". This included Slow Dancing With Her Ghost, I Nearly Miss You and Addressing The Haters (The Beard Song). Over summer 2021, Malik performed at and hosted numerous open mic nights in Bristol and around the local area.
