Aiia (EU)

Aiia is a European open banking platform based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Formerly known as Nordic API Gateway, Aiia was founded to enable third parties to build applications and services based on financial data with a unified API.

In 2018, Danske Bank and DNB invested DKK 64 million in Aiia[1]. Since then, the platform has expanded across Europe and is live in 27 markets today with offices in Copenhagen, Aarhus, as well as Gdansk in Poland.

Aiia became the first account information service provider (AISP) in 2018[2]. In 2019, the platform received its license as a payment initiation service provider[3]. Today, the platform to processes more than half a million account-to-account payments monthly[4] for financial institutions including OP Financial Group, Danske Bank, DNB and Lunar.
