Aimone Vittorio Pitacco Aimone Vittorio Pitacco, born in Turin, Italy, the 6th of May 1998. After a formation year in the Design Academy of Eindhoven, Netherlands, Aimone decide to move back to Italy, in Milan, to focus his time on studying Fashion Design in Istituto Marangoni. In his second year, he participated to a contest to realize a print to be used as a way to spread awareness for the World Cancer day 20th anniversary. After winning his print was sent, in T-shirt form, to famous public figures such as Bianca Balti, Manuele Mameli, Giuliano Calza and more. This aimed to target the young audiences that this people have on their social media accounts.
WWD states "Aimone Pitacco, enrolled in the second year of the fashion design and accessories course, scooped up the top spot with a graphics depicting two hands holding each other against an orange backdrop."[1]
The print for the World Cancer Day 2020 was described as "perfect" by the WWD article as it didn't represent gender, age, color or social status, targeting everyone that saw the shirt created for the purpose of sharing awareness. Aimone now works as a freelance designer and studies at the same time, to gain knowledge and skills from the harsh reality of working in the real world and from studying what life doesn't teach, in Marangoni.
As the nephew of a great Italian car designer, such as Dante Giacosa, that shaped Italian history by creating affordable veichles, he was always inspired and subconsciously pushed to create and become a designer himself. He began his design career by designing furniture made of parts of the cars that his great grandfather created such as the Fiat 500, Cisitalia and more.
In an interview for Red Moon he states "If a design doesn't change the world in some reason, its not a good design". Basing his philosophy on this quote, he began creating collections for his courses, focusing on nature, technology, biology and a balanced coexistence between the modern man and its surroundings.
